"Grant is a retired Licensed Professional Counselor, Mediator, Teacher, and Pastor. His professional narrative has been one of advocacy and service to others. An original member of the Concord Mediation Center’s Board of Directors, Grant developed the parenting education classes used by Concord Mediation Center and Douglas County’s Conciliation Court with a focus upon “making kid’s lives better by working with their parents.” Grant was executive director of the Samaritan Counseling Centers of the Midlands; Director of Pastoral Services for the Nebraska Methodist Health System; and pastor of United Methodist congregations in Grand Island, Crete, Lincoln, and Omaha. Grant has served as special faculty at the Werner Institute at Creighton University, Nebraska Methodist College, Bellevue University, UNO, and Drew University. Grant received his bachelor’s degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University and a Master of Divinity degree from St. Paul School of Theology Methodist. He received a post-master’s certificate in counseling from The Karl Menninger School of Psychiatry and Mental Health Services and did post-graduate work in pastoral psychology and counseling at Boston University School of Theology. Grant has extensive training in mediation and dispute resolution. Grant is helping us bring smiles to people in recovery."
